She supported not only me, but my husband and our 3-year-old, who attended the birth, making sure we all felt cared for and comfortable.

I also really appreciated how respectfully she worked alongside the hospital staff. Afterwards, she provided a detailed birth debrief, which has been so valuable in helping me process and reflect on the experience.

I’m so grateful we chose her to be part of our birth. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting knowledgeable, compassionate and genuinely supportive care.

I had heard of doulas and how they provide emotional support throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I didn’t think I’d need one as my husband was a great emotional support throughout my first birth. But my kinesiologist recommended Alison to me so I thought why not give it a go as I didn’t feel empowered after my first birth and was keen to change that for my second.

Alison was so much more than an emotional support, she was a form of accountability helping my husband and me prepare for my birth. She shared great resources and mindset tips throughout my pregnancy.

Alison was also such a great help minding and entertaining my first child while I was in labour at home and postpartum on two occasions.

Alison will meet you where you are at. She has a very sweet nature and genuinely cares for you and your family. It’s worth it for you and your family!

Doula was a term I had never come across, but seeing an ad one day talking about how it will prepare me for my journey with a positive birth gave me the opportunity to reach out to Alison.

My journey with Alison has been remarkable as I got to know and learn all the aspects of preparing for birth. Things that I wasn’t aware of during my 1st pregnancy despite attending all my antenatal appointments with the hospital.

Alison gave me insights into topics and understandings, which was essential for me to make decisions when I was doubting myself. During the transition process leading up to birth of my baby and amongst the craziness of how unexpected things could possibly go in hospital with interventions, I always had Alison by my side as my strength which gave me more confidence in choosing my options as I was bouncing off her to ensure what is best for myself and the baby.

Alison has been a privilege to work with, and her enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication for mothers leading up to birth and post-partum is extraordinary.
